Jason Stead

Jason Stead is a cybersecurity and risk management executive with extensive experience leading enterprise security, privacy, and compliance programs for large global organizations. He currently serves as Vice President of Enterprise Security and Privacy at Choice Hotels International, where he oversees the company’s enterprise information security strategy, privacy governance, IT compliance, and risk management initiatives across one of the world’s largest hotel franchisors. With more than 17 years of experience in information security, Stead has built and led high-performing teams responsible for protecting complex technology ecosystems and safeguarding customer and corporate data. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, he served as Vice President of Information Security at Mutual of Omaha Bank (formerly First National Bank of Arizona) and held senior security and risk roles at Nationwide Insurance as well as in consulting engagements with Ernst & Young. Stead holds an MBA from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. He also maintains several industry certifications, including CISSP, CISM, and CISA, reflecting his expertise in enterprise security governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
