Elevating Cyber Risk to a Business-Critical Priority

Abstract:
As cyber threats continue to escalate in frequency and impact, the conversation has firmly shifted from the SOC to the boardroom. Today’s CISOs are expected to operate as business leaders—translating technical risk into enterprise impact, guiding investment decisions, and ensuring resilience in the face of disruption.

This panel brings together senior security executives to explore how organizations are elevating cybersecurity into a core component of business strategy. Panelists will share how they are aligning cyber priorities with organizational goals, communicating effectively with boards and executive peers, and making informed tradeoffs in an environment of constrained resources and expanding attack surfaces. The discussion will also highlight how leading enterprises are preparing for inevitable incidents—focusing not just on prevention, but on response, recovery, and continuity.

Designed for senior technology leaders, this session offers a strategic lens on how cybersecurity is being redefined as a driver of trust, resilience, and long-term business value.

Key Takeaways:

  • How CISOs are reframing cybersecurity as a core business risk, not just an IT issue
  • Proven strategies for aligning security priorities with revenue, operations, and enterprise resilience
  • What boards and executive teams expect from today’s security leaders—and how to deliver it
  • Approaches to prioritizing investments that drive measurable risk reduction and business value
  • How to effectively communicate cyber risk, tradeoffs, and ROI in executive language
  • Lessons from recent incidents shaping how organizations prepare, respond, and recover
  • Balancing innovation (AI, cloud, digital transformation) with security and governance at scale
