Geoff Hancock

Director of Cybersecurity - Cybalt, a Black Box Company

Geoff Hancock, currently Director of Cybersecurity Consulting with Cybalt – a Black Box Company, has served as VP, CISO across five organizations for the last 20+ years leading CIOs and CISOs through the intricate intersection of business, technology, and cybersecurity. Geoff’s expertise lies in crafting and executing robust enterprise security strategies and programs and cultivating collaborative relationships with executives and staff. Over the last 20 years, he has built or run 36 Security Operations Centers (SOC) for both government and commercial enterprises. He has also advised and co-authored Federal cybersecurity policies, created cyber operations frameworks, and taught CISO programs. Geoff has shared his expertise as an instructor and adjunct professor at George Washington University, US Army Cyber Command, and National Intelligence University as well as at numerous keynote addresses for cybersecurity conferences and exclusive corporate gatherings including RSA, ISC2, and Gartner. In addition, Geoff has served as an advisor to the DHS/ODNI Cybersecurity committees, as a Senior Fellow at George Washington/Auburn Universities' Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, and engaged with the Center for Internet Security.
