This panel discussion brings together experts from diverse backgrounds, including AI research, cybersecurity, and policy-making, to explore the nuances of the complex relationship between AI & Privacy. The discussion will address critical questions such as: How can we strike a balance between the benefits of AI and the protection of individual privacy? What ethical guidelines should govern the development and deployment of AI technologies? How can legal frameworks evolve to effectively address AI-related privacy challenges?

Through a thought-provoking exchange of ideas and insights, the panel aims to shed light on the multifaceted dimensions of the “Beauty and the Beast” dynamic between AI and privacy. Harvey Nusz has focused on Privacy for the past 5 years. Prior to that he concentrated on getting companies compliant and secure in Cyber Security frameworks Regulations and Industry Standards and is now assisting companies in executing privacy securely and compliantly. He is currently wrapping up his tenure as President of the ISACA Houston Chapter and also assists the SIM Houston Chapter as lead of their Cyber Security Privacy and Compliance Special Interest Group.

Clif Triplett

Executive Director for Cybersecurity and Risk Management, Kearney

Clif Triplett is the Executive Director for Cybersecurity and Risk Management at Kearney. He has in‑depth knowledge of information technology and global experience spanning the government, oilfield services, tractor, automotive, aerospace, defense and telecommunications sectors. In 2016, Clif worked with the Obama administration to address the cybersecurity challenges brought to light by the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) data breach, in which 21.5 million individuals’ background investigation records were compromised. He is currently working with KEARNEY, a global strategic consulting firm, advising governments and Global 200 enterprises on cybersecurity and risk management.

Security Awareness Advocate - KnowBe4

Security Awareness Advocate is responsible for amplifying messaging related to the importance of, effectiveness of, and the need for security awareness and training within organizations through social media, webinars, in-person presentations, industry trade shows and traditional media outlets. Information Security Awareness: manage Internal Awareness Program to inform and provide training to enterprise employees through department experts in the areas of Phishing, Intellectual Property Classification, Data Protection, Information Security Policies, and Workstation Audits. Training: create training programs in various aspects of Information Security. Training programs used throughout the business for Customs Transport Awareness, Security Awareness, Physical Security and Internal Processes. Project Management and coordination across multiple sectors and departments within the organization relating to Product & Solution Security, governance and NERC CIP standards. David Sledge, CISSP, CISM, CIPM is the Director of Cybersecurity for Avelo Airlines. A subject matter expert in cybersecurity and data privacy. He has 20+ years of leadership experience across a various sectors of the information technology industry, working with global Fortune 500 companies, higher education, and government agencies of different countries. He is an active member and mentor in the cybersecurity community. He serves on cybersecurity degree program advisory boards for University of Houston Victoria and Lonestar College. He currently holds more than 20 professional certifications in IT, cybersecurity and privacy.
