Special Agent SA Robert Kotarski entered on duty with the Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI in 2011 and was assigned to the Cincinnati Division. While assigned to the Cincinnati Division SA Kotarski specialized in investigations ranging from corporate fraud healthcare fraud fraud against the government counterterrorism and cyber related threats. In 2017 SA Kotarski was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent SSA and assigned to FBI Cyber Division s Major Cyber Crimes Unit. While at FBI HQ he worked extensively with FBI Specials Agents private sector partners foreign partners and other government agencies to combat the cyber-criminal threat. In 2020 SSA Kotarski was selected to lead the FBI Houston Division s Cyber Criminal Squad. The squad is responsible for identifying pursuing and defeating cyber-criminals and their enterprises around the world. SSA Kotarski is a native of the Chicago land area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and Construction Management and a Master of Science in Cyber Security. Prior to the FBI he served on active duty as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army and a project engineer for the General Services Administration.
