Wells Larsen

Deputy Chief Information Officer, INTEGRIS Health

CISO/Deputy CISO with 25+ years leading end-to-end cybersecurity programs, regulatory compliance, risk governance, Zero Trust architecture, and AI/cloud security strategy. Trusted by Boards and C-suites to align security with business growth, improve resilience, and drive transformation. I lead with empathy and insight. My leadership philosophy blends Servant and Transformational styles — empowering teams to grow into thought leaders, not just execute tasks. I create cultures where people challenge convention, embrace accountability, and pursue strategic change with purpose. Whether building Zero Trust roadmaps or navigating cloud and AI risk, I work across stakeholders to drive security maturity and influence culture at scale. Technically, I bring deep experience in Security Architecture, Security Engineering, IAM, GRC, TVM, cloud security, incident response, Security Program Transformations — but my value lies in translating that complexity into business-aligned outcomes. I’ve partnered directly with CISOs to rebuild programs from the ground up, improving resiliency, regulatory alignment (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST), and operational efficiency. Though I’ve rarely "owned" a cybersecurity program, I’ve repeatedly transformed them through vision, structure, and influence. As a visual-spatial thinker and intuitive communicator, I quickly distill ambiguity into actionable insights. My approach to problem-solving focuses on identifying the root cause — not just reacting to symptoms. This mindset has helped organizations move from reactive compliance to proactive, future-ready strategy. I believe AI will reshape our industry as profoundly as the Industrial Revolution. My mission is to ensure organizations are prepared — ethically, operationally, and culturally — to meet that future with integrity and confidence.
